Following your triumph over Dancing Green, you now prepare to engage your next opponent, Sugar Riot. A rebellious artist who utilizes the soul of a pudding, she manifests her imaginings with an augmented palette, devastating her foes with beautiful brutality. One can only wonder, in the art of war, will the unstoppable upstart be able to keep up with this visionary?

— In-game description

AAC Cruiserweight M2 is a level 100 raid introduced in patch 7.2 with Dawntrail. The raid is also known as M6 or M6N.

Guide

Please note that that the arena is surrounded by a dangerous AoE. Being hit with any avoidable AoEs will inflict a stack of Vulnerability Up icon1.png Vulnerability Up, along with possibly other effects.

Aggressive difficulty r6.png Art at War: Sugar Riot

  • Mousse Mural: Party-wide magical damage.
  • Single Style: One of several different attacks in which the boss will draw an object, each denoting an AoE.
    • Paint Bomb: Bombs will land at the three yellow circle locations with orange tethers, each exploding as a large, late-telegraphed circle AoE (Burst).
    • Heaven Bomb (bomb with wings): Bombs will initially land at the designated locations but jump forward approximately half the length of the arena relative to where they are facing before exploding. Stand near the bombs before they jump to avoid.
    • Sweet Shot (arrows): Arrows will spawn at the locations outside of the arena and each use a late telegraphed line AoE (Rush) in front of them, leaving some open gaps.
    • Throw-up Target (arrow on target): A bullseye will spawn. The boss will use Single Style again to summon arrows whose line AoEs will converge on the bullseye.
  • Pudding Party: A 5-hit stack marker AoE on a random player, dealing magical damage.
  • Color Riot: Telegraphed circle AoE tankbuster on both tanks, dealing magical damage. A different color attack (red: Warm Bomb; blue: Cool Bomb) will hit each tank, but this is inconsequential.

Desert landscape

  • Sugarscape: The boss will paint a desert landscape at the north of the arena, transforming the floor to sand.
  • Layer: The boss will add a sun to the painting, giving all players a persistent Sweltering icon.png Sweltering debuff during this phase, dealing minor damage-over-time (The scorching heat saps your strength...)
  • Layer: The boss will add cacti to the painting, causing numerous sets of cacti to grow in random locations and explode as late telegraphed circle AoEs upon reaching maximal size.
  • Layer: The boss will add a sand pit to the painting, causing a large whirlpool of quicksand to spawn in the middle, leaving the corners safe. Anyone who lingers in this for too long will receive a brief Six fulms under icon1.png Six Fulms Under debuff and die. Afterwards, another quicksand pool will spawn in a different location, along with cacti on the other side.
  • Mousse Touch-up: Spread marker AoE on each player, dealing magical damage.
  • The arena will revert back with another cast of Mousse Mural.
  • Double Style: Combinations of two different object AoEs from Single Style.
    • Paint Bomb + Heaven Bomb: Stand on where a winged bomb spawned.
    • Sweet Shot + Heaven Bomb: Stand behind the winged bombs in a lane that does not contain an arrow.

River landscape

  • Sugarscape: The boss will paint a river landscape at the north of the arena, transforming the floor to grass that is divided into three sections by rivers. There are three bridges connecting the sections above the water. Standing in the water will give Fire resistance up icon1.png Fire Resistance Up and Lightning resistance down icon1.png Lightning Resistance Down II.
  • Taste of Thunder: Spread marker AoE on each player dealing thunder magical damage and inflicting Magic vulnerability up icon1.png, Magic Vulnerability Up, making overlap lethal. Players must not stand in water or they will take massive damage.
  • Taste of Fire: Stack marker AoEs on both healers dealing fire magical damage and inflicting Magic vulnerability up icon1.png, Magic Vulnerability Up, making overlap lethal. Players must stand in water or they will take massive damage.
  • Layer: The boss will add rain to the painting, causing the arena to become stormy. The water will become unsafe to stand in, inflicting Dropsy icon1.png Dropsy. There will be numerous sets of telegraphed circle AoEs.
  • Layer: The boss will add a large thunderstorm to the painting, causing a Tempest Piece storm cloud add to appear above a region of the arena. It will use Highlightning, a massive late telegraphed point-blank AoE that will kill anyone hit. The storm cloud will move to a different section and use this attack again, so players must be across from it. There will be a total of three hits. Note that the storm cloud can move back to its starting location for the third hit.

Mechanics then repeat until the boss is defeated.

Dialogue

Sugar Riot: What inspiration will you give me, I wonder!
Metem: Welcome to Sugar Riot's gallery of glamours!
Sugar Riot: Perhaps I'll draw...this!
Metem: And with a flourish, Sugar Riot brings her work to life!
Metem: That struck square!
Sugar Riot: What's your favorite color?
Sugar Riot: An image comes to me! I hope you like it hot and sandy!
Metem: Goodness, the ring has become a desert!
Sugar Riot: How about a little more sunshine?
The scorching heat saps your strength...
Sugar Riot: When I think desert, I think of these prickly fellows!
Metem: Watch out, it's a veritable storm of needles!
Metem: The challenger's down! Is this the end!?
Sugar Riot: There's something missing... Oh, I know!
Metem: Quicksand!? You don't want to get caught in that!
Sugar Riot: What's your favorite color?
Sugar Riot: When you can't decide on one thing...
Sugar Riot: What do you think of this?
Metem: The challenger rises again! Can they turn this around!?
Sugar Riot: What do you say to a refreshing riverscape?
Metem: A crystal-clear river! How charming!
Metem: Oh no, that was too much for the challenger!
Sugar Riot: This is no good! It needs a touch of thunder, a dash of downpour!
Metem: A thunderstorm has turned the waters muddy! How frightening!
Sugar Riot: I have it! Some destruction to facilitate deconstruction!
Metem: A massive, raging storm! I hope you brought your parasols!
Sugar Riot: When you can't decide on one thing...
Sugar Riot: What do you think of this?
Metem: Amazing! They clearly anticipated that attack!
