Skywatcher
Skywatchers are a class of NPCs that forecast the weather conditions of the different locations in Final Fantasy XIV. The Skywatcher will inform the players of the current weather conditions along with the weather conditions of the next 8, 16 and 24 hours. If the zone is experiencing a weather event related to progression of the Main Scenario Quest, the Skywatcher will not be able to give a forecast.
Skywatchers are initially able to give forecasts in Eorzea, The Far East, Ilsabard, and The Northern Empty. Curiously they are also initially able to give forecasts for Azys Lla and most of Tural, despite these areas being canonically unknown or inaccessible in A Realm Reborn. As players progress through the Main Scenario Quest, they will unlock forecasts in extradimensional areas such as Norvrandt as well as the sixth zone in more recent expansions (Ultima Thule and Living Memory, for example).
