Dense jungle vegetation grows wild and unchecked across a wide band of Thavnair's inland region. Amongst the trees, however, can be found a sprinkling of shrines and temples dedicated to the pantheon of locally worshipped gods—holy sites where once resided the ranks of the faithful.

Landmarks

All those traveling into Radz-at-Han by land must first pass through this stone gateway at the far end of Gajasimha Bridge. In times of need, the entrance can be barricaded in order to protect the city.

The Burning Field

This Radiant training facility was opened to select adventurers following the upheaval of the Final Days. The distinctive wooden dummies placed in this area were manufactured with the cooperation of local alchemists.

Pavana's Remorse

Pavana was a renowned Arkasodara ascetic who chose the spiritual path after living a life of unspeakable villainy. He meditated daily to purge himself of all ill intent, and the tears he shed during this journey of self-reflection are said to have collected in this jungle pond.

Agama Temple

This temple was raised in service of the pilgrims who come to pay their respects at Agama's tomb. An Arkasodara warrior monk, Agama was enshrined as a holy man for his part in quelling the violence between the warring tribes, saving countless lives that would have been lost had he not intervened.

The Font of Maya

This temple was once the abode of an order of Arkasodara ascetics who sought divine enlightenment through the spiritual power that is maya. Abandoned for a stronghold deeper in the jungle, the structure now sits derelict and half-submerged in rainwater.

Purusa

People once believed that meditating in this temple, dedicated to both Manusya and Mrga, allowed communion with the souls of one's forebears. Those who had lost their path in life would make the pilgrimage to Purusa, seeking to learn ancestral wisdom from the departed.

In local mythology, a deity is said to have scooped mud from this riverbed to sculpt the first Arkasodara. It is argued that the name, meaning "sea of milk," originates from the aforementioned muddying of the waters, although the less-spiritual explanation ascribes it to the cloudy murk produced when ocean fish swim upstream to spawn their eggs.
