Saltwind's Welcome is an area in Thavnair, Ilsabard.

Landmarks

This small fishing village is built on the white sands for which it is named. Local fishermen still follow the traditional ways, casting their lines into the shallows from atop stilt-legged platforms, or taking their sturdy boats into deeper waters to trawl with wide-flung nets.

Svarna

These buildings were once used as storage by a merchant consortium, but after suffering a downturn in business, the premises became the property of Kancana, a job broker based in Yedlihmad. Svarna presently serves as the headquarters for the Hippo Riders and their growing delivery service.

Tebqeyiq

More of a sandbar than an island, Tebqeyiq or "the ship's predator" has a reputation for snaring the hulls of unwary helmsmen who fail to account for the shallows' unruly currents.

Ussaqeyiq

This tiny island is in wading distance of Yedlihmad, and is occasionally used as a supply station for seafaring merchant vessels. In the old mainland tongue, its name means "the ship's lover."

An isle off the coast of Thavnair, Alnair has the only harbor with waters deep enough to accommodate the larger ocean-going vessels. Over the years it has thus become the port of call for foreign merchant ships seeking to trade in the city.
