reapers. They consist of 2-handed war scythes.

“Centuries ago, in the temperate climes of southern Ilsabard, Garlean farmers reaped their harvests with two-handed scythes. As these selfsame farmers took up these scythes in defense of their homes, however, the erstwhile tools underwent a variety of changes. Grips once present for the purpose of hewing stalks at the base were abandoned in favor of a longer and more versatile snath, and blades became larger in recognition of the power of momentum. The result was a weapon superior in reach and devastating in power.
It is interesting to note that, even as the reaper's scythe developed into a formidable weapon of war, it evolved identically to the garden scythe in certain ways. Hinges to allow the blades to fold toward the snath, for instance, have been a popular addition to both varieties.

Sickle
“No strict delineation exists between the scythe and the sickle, though the former is, broadly speaking, a larger-bladed version of the latter. Indeed, in the Far East, they are both referred to as "kama," though a prefix is sometimes added to distinguish larger "ogama" from their smaller brethren, the "naigama."

Zaghnal
“As descendants of battleaxes and warhammers, rather than scythes and sickles, zaghnal often feature straight, pick-like, or otherwise unusual blades. These weapons are said to have brought unprecedented prosperity to Near Eastern lands during the Fifth Astral Era, and likely were the precursors to the Far Eastern "war talon" as well.
