— In-game description

White Wind is an action unlocked at level 1. It is available for Blue Mage.

Flavor Text

White Wind imbues a localized current of air with purified aether, distributing its curative effects throughout the vicinity. Though powerful for such a simple spell, the purification of sufficient aether requires significant magical exertion on the part of the caster, and thus should be used sparingly.

Vendor Location / Coordinates Section Cost Unlock req.
Wayward Gaheel Ja Ul'dah - Steps of Thal (12.5, 12.9) Acquire Whalaqee totems. Free The more you know ii icon1.png  The More You Know II

Requirements: Learn 10 Blue Magic Spells.

Duties

  • Enkidu from level 50 Trial Trial Battle in the Big Keep.[1][2][3]
    • Learning 10 Blue Magic Spells is a simpler way to learn White Wind than from Enkidu.
    • Entering the trial with both Undersized Party and Level Sync selected does not guarantee the spell will be learned. This may be unintended behavior, as this is the only spell known to behave this way.
  • White Flame from level 70 Raid Raid Deltascape V3.0 (Savage).[4]
    • Learning 10 Blue Magic Spells is a simpler way to learn White Wind than from White Flame.
    • It is currently unknown if learning the spell from White Flame mimics the unintended behavior of learning White Wind from Enkidu.

Tips

Acquisition Tips

  • After obtaining the totem, you must use it in order to learn the White Wind spell.

Other Tips

  • If you are mimicking a healer with Aetherial Mimicry.png  Aetheric Mimicry, keep this only as a back-up healing spell if you have learned other healing spells, as it has a high MP cost and generates significant enmity.
  • Because it restores health equal to your current HP, it is much more effective if you have more HP.
