Saint Reinette

Saint Reinette earned her status as a legendary Dragoon by hunting down and seeking revenge against a Dragon that had killed her beloved. Wielding the legendary Gae Bolg, she hunted the beast down and exacted her revenge against it. Upon slaying the beast, she cast aside her weapon, and took up a vow to the cloth instead. Upon returning to Ishgard, she took a vow of poverty and lived her life in servitude to the poor and downtrodden. Long after she passed away, she was canonized by the Ishgardian Orthodox Church and the Arc of the Humble was built in her name, along with a statue so that none could forget her deeds. While this was an honor she had more than earned, the move came at a time when the Church was under scrutiny, and it felt like a move to simply placate the people, as her retiring as a Dragoon was viewed as unfavorable by the Church at the time.
