“A tawdry focus Martyn managed to sell to gullible adventurers. Desperate for a means to make the pathetic scrap of wood appealing, he approached a novice artisan he met in a tavern, claiming he had the perfect method to hone their skills. When presented with the finished product, he then charged a fee for the "valuable lesson" of making it. With the cane now passable in appearance and functional besides, he let his newfound fortune guide him to an aspirational name, in hopes that his blue mage disciples would generate gil as sure as the clouds bring rain.
