“"I've yet to put my theories to the proof, but I've got a good feeling about this."
Born in Sharlayan, Moenbryda was cheerful and assertive even as a child. She grew up fascinated by knowledge that surrounded her and was best described by her instructors as always eager to learn. Sensing in him the same draw to the unknown, she sought to befriend Urianger Augurelt, a quiet boy who far preferred the company of books to that of other children. With much aplomb, Urianger ignored Moenbryda's nigh-constant pestering; however, the stubborn Sea Wolf would not be put off so easily, and could oft be found lurking beside the boy, reading complex treatises over his shoulder. The two eventually grew close, and it was not uncommon to see the two late at night in the Great Gubal Library hunched over a stack of tomes and a smuggled plate of cockatrice meatballs.
Once she had grown, Moenbryda joined Urianger in studying under Louisoix Leveilleur. After demonstrating a striking talent in aetheric research, she became an Archon. However, while she did participate in the Circle of Knowing, Louisoix bid her remain in Sharlayan—an order she followed with great difficulty. She returned to the Lifestream having seen but twenty and nine summers, sacrificing her life that her companions—nay the realm itself—might endure.
Dual Haken: After discovering the majestic weapon in the Mor Dhonan find, the Sons of Saint Coinach exchanged this greataxe to Rowena's House of Splendors for a sizable contribution to their research fund. In a rare display of generosity, the emporium later presented the axe to Moenbryda as a gift. As a marauder of no small skill, the Archon knew well how to wield the Allagan relic.— In-game description
Moenbryda Wilfsunnwyn is a Roegadyn.

Moenbryda joins with the Scions of the Seventh Dawn when they sought a way to track Lady Iceheart. As an expert in Aetherology, she was able to locate the Aetheryte Lady Iceheart escaped to after she evaded capture. She explained the method which may have been used, as well as how the aetherytes work not as teleporters, but rather as beacons for the aether of those traveling through the Lifestream. Using the White Auracite, she channeled the Scions aether and was able to re-establish a connection to the aetheryte within the Akh Afah Amphitheatre, where the heretics and Lady Iceheart had hidden.
After their battle with Shiva, the Warrior of Light returned and recounted what they saw to Moenbryda. After investigating what happened, she determined that the Primal had merely been summoned by using Lady Iceheart's body as the catalyst, and it was in effect no different from any other summoning.
After some time, Moenbryda reveals the efforts of her study. the White Auracite is able to be used to temporarily house an Ascian soul, which could then be destroyed by a large enough burst of aether. Though the method of creating a blade of aether whenever they desired seemed to be the next hurdle, Moenbryda continued her studies in Northern Thanalan, where massive outcrops of aether-charged Crystals grow. Following the Warrior of Light taking out several Imperial squads at the Ceruleum Processing Plant, Moenbryda succeeds in drawing the vast amount of aether required to destroy a piece of White Auracite. When the Ascian Nabriales attacks Minfilia at the Rising Stones, the Warrior of Light temporarily defeats him, but he soon returned and continued his assault. Using the White Auracite, they were able to momentarily trap the Ascian, but without the blessing of Hydaelyn, the Warrior of Light was unable to summon enough aether to destroy him. Finally realizing why her old master, Louisoix sacrificed himself during the Seventh Umbral Calamity, she sacrificed herself and all of her aether to finally destroy the White Auracite, and the Ascian contained within.
Much later, when the Scions entered into the Lifestream via The Aitiascope in the hopes of speaking with Hydaelyn, Moenbryda's aether was there waiting for them, lending them her strength and aided them in moving forward against the enemies that waited to bar their path.
