Acquisition Tips
- Master Coeurl uses this immediately. Wait for it to finish casting before slaying it. May take a few tries.
- Coeurl Smriti casts it if both Coeurls don't die together.
Other Tips
- Casting a debuff such as Addle or Off-guard will grab a enemy's attention without dealing damage.
- When combined with Mighty Guard, this spell is one of the best ways to solo dungeons for those in need of spells.
- Use Basic Instinct if you are alone in any duty or instance that normally allows more than one player.

- Patch 6.5 (2023-10-03): Resolved an issue wherein the healing over time effect of Spick-and-span, granted by the blue mage action Deep Clean, was not affected by the increased healing potency effect of the blue mage action Basic Instinct.
