A fetching young Xaela of eighteen summers, she was consumed by violent impulses while on a hunt that was to serve as her rite of passage. Exiled from her clan as one of the reviled Taken, she then drifted aimlessly across the realm, eventually washing up in the port town of Limsa Lominsa, where she soon found herself besmitten with the strapping and virile Curious Gorge. Under the guidance of a kind adventurer, she ultimately learned to control the beast within, and made a triumphant return home to the Azim Steppe, only to face the tragic truth--the Qerel were no more, overrun by the violent Chagan, a clan of exiles who believed their blind fury to be a gift from the Dusk Mother herself.
